    Dardanella is the ultimate luxury adventure and expedition platform! Built by Vitters in the Netherlands 37m, she is available for charter in some of the most remote parts of the world. Based in the South Pacific with an exciting schedule she is available for charter in areas such as Papua New Guinea, Micronesia, French Polynesia, the Solomon Islands, Marshall Islands and surroundings. Dardanella carries a versatile crew of 8 and accommodates 12 guests in 6 beautifully appointed guest cabins each with ensuite facilities.

    Dardanella's crew are highly experienced professionals with many years running expeditions throughout the Pacific. They specialise in adventurous travel in often remote and largely uncharted areas. From diving remote wrecks to swimming with whales, surfing reefs or simply cruising through new destinations, anyone can find the adrenaline he/she is looking for! The crew also includes a wellness instructor who through yoga, Pilates, massage and handcrafted workshops, thrives on making positive, personally tailored practices to optimise progress for guests of any level, capability & interest. Whether guests are looking to prepare for their day with a short daily yoga practice, unwind with a massage or dive into a fully immersive wellbeing retreat, Dardanella is able to design a wellbeing program to enhance any trip.

    Over the course of a year in 2017/2018 the captain and crew conducted reconnaissance, navigating her hroughout the Islands of French Polynesia. During this time they gathered with them a wealth of in-depth knowledge of the region including the more remote Marquesas, Gambiers and Tuamotus Islands. They scoped out the best dive sites, learned about remote island culture and found the best surf breaks. All of this knowledge and passion for the area is ready and waiting to be shared with her guests. 

    She has a focus on sustainability and research and has worked with some of the biggest names in this field. Whether it's surfing, diving, collecting bio-samples from a remote volcano, visiting sunken war ships and WWII bombers or simply enjoying a luxurious cruise through the islands of the Pacific, DARDANELLA is equipped for it all.

    Rate Details: 
    Special introductory rate of $100k p/w MYBA terms + 30% APA + applicable tax

    Winter: High rate is from 20th December to 7th January. Low rate rest months.

    The APA fee is to cover expenses such as food, beverages, fuel, transfers, marinas (if any). The captain keeps detailed accounts and receipts which are available to see online during your cruise - at the end of the trip the accounts are settled and any amount left is refunded back to you or if you have exceeded your APA accounts are settled at the end of your charter.

    Location details: DARDANELLA is currently based in Australia, they will be available in French Polynesia from mid August for charter and back in New Zealand for the America's Cup, late December. 

    The 36th America's Cup is to be hosted right here in New Zealand's Hauraki Gulf surrounding the City of Auckland. There are a number of races in the lead up to the final series where just two teams battle for the America's Cup. The cruising in the immediate vicinity of the racing area is world class and includes the world renowned island of wine - Waiheke. There are plenty of cruising options near by so guests can watch the races from the centre of the action and enjoy an activity filled itinerary exploring areas like the Coromandel Peninsula, Cathedral Cove, internationally recognised night sky reserve - Great Barrier Island and beyond.

    Races will be approximately 45 mins long, yachts sailing at speeds up to 50 knots and take place between 16:00 and 18:00 hrs on race days.

    Nationality: South African

    Born in Poland and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, Piot grew up around the ocean and started sailing competitively at a young age. He has been committed professionally to yachting for the past 15 years. Over this period he has worked on a wide variety of yachts, ranging from small composite race boats to large superyachts and wooden classics. Yachting has taken Piot around the world a few times, through the Atlantic, Mediterranean, Caribbean, Pacific, North Sea, Indonesia and SE Asia. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Zoology and Ecology, and holds a commercial endorsed MCA 3000gt Captains license. He enjoys an adventurous, healthy and active lifestyle, and has a strong interest in water activities such as surfing, freediving and scuba diving. Piot has a positive demeanor, professional attitude and a passion for the ocean, adventure, and exploration. These attributes promote a safe and motivational atmosphere for guests. He is 39 years old and he has been on Dardanella already for 6 years.

    Born on a wine farm in the small village of Franschhoek, near the South African coast, Calvin was raised around the ocean and in the African outdoors. Stemming from a fishing background he has been around boats from a very young age, committing to professional yachting since 2015. Calvin holds a Yacht-Master 200gt Captains license and is a PADI Dive-Master. Calvin thrives on the excitement of adventure. Whether it’s in the oceans diving, surfing or fishing or on land hiking and remote traveling, Calvin seeks to be challenged and stimulated, this passion for excitement drew him to the Dardanella and its unique program. He is only 28 years old and he is also a pilot for small airplanes.

    Mitchell is an Advanced Diver and Skydiver. She is only 26 years old and  is a nature loving, adventure seeking, travel enthusiast. Growing up in Simons Town, South Africa, Mitchell has always been in love with nature and the ocean. She entered the hospitality industry straight after school and has been in Super Yachting since 2015. She has progressed rapidly through the ranks reaching a Chief Stew position on a 75-meter yacht by the age of 23. Mitchell has a very calm and gentle demeanor that draws people towards her, making them comfortable and at ease. She sees the Dardanella program as a very special and unique experience that she is committed to portray and enhance for guests. She is open, friendly, great in a team and is on board of Dardanella already for 3 years.

    Nationality: Mexican

    Juan Carlos is the sole Chef on MY Dardanella, where he sources and prepares amazing meals in some of the most remote and challenging locations in the South Pacific. Growing up in a family where food is a passion, JC has been around the alchemy, magic and art of food preparation since he was a child. 22 years ago, JC started his professional cheffing career. With formative experiences in some of the most esteemed restaurants in Europe and Mexico, he then redirected his career to cooking on yachts. 18 years of cheffing on yachts has taken him through Europe, Mediterranean and Caribbean, through Asia, the Middle East, USA, Central America and the Pacific. The travels have developed his multicultural culinary style and formed his repertoire of a large variety of authentic worldwide cuisines. He can cater to a wide variety of food preferences, including Keton, Vegan, Vegetarian and Pescatarian, and a wide variety of intolerances and gastronomic fashions. JC himself is very health conscious and very active... has incredible energy and passion for life, cultural immersion, exploration and adventure, that is mirrored in his variety of cooking styles.

    Nationality: Mexican-French

    Born in Mexico to a French mother and a Mexican father, Pierre is a multilingual (English, Spanish, French and Italian), fun loving, positive and adventurous member of the Dardanella team. Sailing from as long as he can remember and qualifying as a Dive Instructor at the age of 18, boats and the ocean have always been part of Pierre’s life. A university educated engineer with a strong background in engine, industrial and IT engineering, Pierre dedicated himself to working on super yachts for the past 15 years. He holds a YachtMaster 200gt captains license and a Y3 Engineering certification. With many years of experience in diving operations, underwater photography and camera work, Pierre is a huge asset above water and below. He is 45 years old and it is already his 3rd year on Dardanella.

    Nationality: French

    Born in France to French and Dutch parents, Gilles grew up in a small family shipyard in Greece. His nomadic character, passion for travel, the outdoors and his interest in foreign cultures and values have driven him to travel and live all over the world. Born into a yachting community, yachting and engineering has been a part of his life from the day he was born. He studied boat building in the UK. As well as being an accredited Yacht Surveyor, he holds a Master 500gt Captains license and a Y3 Engineering certification. Gilles speaks five languages: English, French, Greek, Spanish and Italian. He is a phenomenal engineer, yet at the same time very humble. He is generally considered to be a calm and pragmatic person, who enjoys problem solving and expanding his knowledge. He is working for Dardanella already for 6 years and when he is not on board he lives in a tiny mountain on a remote island.

    Nationality: Andorran - French

    Born in Andorra, to an English father and French mother, Matthew is a second-generation yachtsman. He speaks 4 languages: English, Spanish, French and Catalan. Matthew is very driven and career dedicated, with good energy and a friendly character. He holds a YachtMaster 200gt Captains license and is a PADI Dive Master. With his knowledge and experience in working for high level clients he has the ability to maintain an extremely professional and formal demeanor, when required, while still creating a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for the guests. This balance makes him a hard worker and a pleasure to be around. He is 23 years young and it is his 1st year on board.

    Nationality: Scottish - Japanese

    The all round wellbeing wonder woman! Having spent much of her life dedicated to adventure, discovery and growth, Ayumi has found herself living in the mountains of the Himalayas and the Zen Temples of Kyoto. Along every journey she has slowly gathered together a basket of skills. These journeys and trainings have enabled her to offer a broad range of experiences tailored to integrate and expand wellbeing knowledge and practices. Whether it’s a simple daily program of yoga and massage or a fully lead wellbeing retreat she can enhance and work alongside any itinerary. Through yoga, Pilates, massage and handcrafted workshops Ayumi thrives on making positive, personally tailored practices to optimise progress for people of any level, capability & interest. Her current part time position teaching aboard MY Dardanella has given her the ability to work closely with both crew and client to create a harmonious wellbeing experience. Understanding the ever changing and challenging conditions that come hand in hand with being on the ocean Ayumi is approachable, adaptable and ready for any adventure. Ayumi is not on board Dardanella full time but is available upon request.

    Nationality: Canadian

    Growing up on the St. Lawrence River, Canada, Sonja spent her formative years around nature, water and boats. Spending her weekends and holidays on her family’s boat and working in the local marina, combined with her love of nature, travel and adventure, naturally lead her to a career in yachting. After graduating in psychology and criminology from University in 2016, Sonja started her career in the superyacht industry. Sonja is very active, health conscious and enjoys interacting with people. Her positive, energetic and engaging personality is a huge asset to the atmosphere on Dardanella, appreciated by both guests and crew alike. Her love for Dardanella and the adventure it stands for, resonates strongly in her attitude towards her job. She is 26 years old and it is her second year in Dardanella which she fully enjoys!
