Luxury crewed charters often begin in the port of Belize City at Cucumber Beach Marina- a quick drive from Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport. Flights from the U.S. are direct from many major cities and you’ll be on your yacht sipping cocktails in no time. Then, head off on your yachting adventure!
On your crewed charter, your professional skipper is the perfect guide to show you the hidden beauty of the islands- most of which is only accessible by boat. Your crew knows the ideal fishing and spearing spots to catch a fresh dinner to be prepared by your chef. A relaxed yachting experience for those who have sailed and for those new to a sailing vacation.
Many have heard of Lighthouse Reef and the Great Blue Hole, this natural wonder is on the bucket list for divers throughout the world. Equally in the known diving realm would be Turneffe Atoll for its spectacular wall dives. But, whether or not you dive, there are incredible experiences to be had cruising all throughout this environmental gem!
In the north, explore the more popular Ambergris Caye with its bustling town of San Pedro or the very laid-back beach island of Caye Caulker. Cruise this northern itinerary and include St George's Caye, the mangrove Drowned Cayes, and tiny Goff’s Caye situated just on the reef- these islands offer so much diversity and life.
Hol Chan Marine Reserve is a must as the abundance of marine life is quite exceptional! Your skipper can moor the boat inside this incredible reserve where you can snorkel off the back deck. Your onboard nature guide will lead you on an unforgettable adventure and introduce you to the wonderful marine world. Or, if your group prefers to dive, book a dive from either San Pedro or Caye Caulker… either way, Hol Chan is a magical experience.
In the south, Water Caye and Rendezvous Caye lay just next to the beautiful reef. Experience the incredible hospitality of Tobacco Caye and then continue on to South Water Caye and the exceptional snorkeling around Carrie Bow Caye. This beautiful area is where Smithsonian scientists study the reef ecosystems. Ranguana and Laughing Bird Cayes are stunning… nature awaits in these peaceful southern cayes.
Sail the Sapodilla Cayes in the Gulf of Honduras for an escape like no other you have experienced. Or, continue south across the Gulf of Honduras to the Rio Dulce, Guatemala. Stop off in Livingston and then meander up the river toward Fronteras. This southern itinerary is an incredible experience both culturally and for the gorgeous river with its steep, lush green hillsides decked in fog or gleaming on a sunny day.

What are the best times to travel to Belize?
The best time to visit Belize for a beach holiday, and for exploring atolls and coral reefs, is from February to April, in fact it is the period when the rains are scarcer, and the heat is not as muggy as in the following months. January falls in the cool period, although it is a bit rainier, but overall you can also go in this month. To go in search of the Mayan ruins, in March and especially in April the heat can be intense in the interior, though on the positive side we are in the middle of the dry season. From May to October, in addition to the rainy season, you must take into account the sultry and unpleasant heat. From June to November it is useful to recall the risk of hurricanes, which as mentioned are most likely in September and October.
What to pack on your Yachting Vacations in Belize?
From December to March, bring light clothes, but also a sweatshirt or sweater for the evening and for windy days.
From April to November, bring tropics-friendly, loose-fitting clothing, light shirts and pants, comfortable and breathable shoes, a sun hat, sunglasses, and also a light sweatshirt and a light raincoat for thunderstorms.
When going to the reef, you can bring snorkeling equipment, including water shoes or rubber-soled shoes.
